With expertise in corporate finance, Juanita is interested in how venture capital firms, business accelerators, and public policy can help mitigate frictions in entrepreneurial markets. She has worked with corporations, development banks, and governments to evaluate entrepreneurship and innovation-related practices and policies. Her research focuses on entrepreneurship, innovation, and private equity, and her work in these areas has been published in top academic journals, including the Review of Financial Studies and the Journal of Financial Economics. Juanita’s work has won several prizes, including the Jaime Fernandez de Araoz Prize for Best Paper in Corporate Finance, the Coller Prize Award, and the Kauffman Dissertation Award.
