Explore how big data, AI, machine learning, and automation are providing innovative solutions to HR challenges.

Module 6 Data-driven HR decision-making
Uncover the practices of data-driven decision-making to ensure that those decisions are valid and ethical.

Module 7 Implementing digital HRM
Consider factors such as organisational adoption, stakeholder trust, and risk when implementing digital HRM.

Module 8 Embedding digital transformation across the organisation
Explore how HR professionals need to adapt to facilitate digital transformation in an organisation.

COURSE CONVENORS

Jonathan E Booth

Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management, Department of Management, LSE

Jonathan received his PhD in human resources and industrial relations at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and has a BS in business administration from Georgetown University, Washington, DC. He has published in academic journals, such as the Academy of Management Journal, ILR Review, British Journal of Industrial Relations, Human Relations, Human Resource Management, and International Journal of Human Resource Management. He was previously a consultant in information technology, change management, and training development for banking, energy, hospitality, and technology firms. Jonathan has also taught courses in the areas of human resources, organisational behaviour, negotiation, dispute resolution, and labour relations.

Elaine Yerby

Senior Lecturer in Practice, Department of Management, LSE

Elaine holds a BSc in sociology and human resource management (HRM) from the University of Bath and an MSc in HRM and organisational analysis from King’s College London. She has served in various operational and strategic HR roles for the Metropolitan Police Service. As a committed researcher-practitioner, Elaine has been an active member of the London CIPD network for over 10 years. She leads the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) stream on the MSc Human Resource Management and Organisations programme at LSE.

Chunyun Li

Assistant Professor, Department of Management, LSE

Chunyun completed her PhD in industrial relations and human resources at Rutgers University's School of Management and Labour Relations. As part of her doctoral research, she spent more than a year observing and interviewing strikers and labour NGOs in China. She also holds a BA in social security from the Renmin University of China.
